[Translate to Englisch:] Goldener Protector 2015

The trade magazine PROTECTOR announced the winners of the coveted trade publication prize during an award presentation event at the 2015 Security Expo in Munich. The solution by phg, which was nominated in the Smart Home Security category, won over the online voters on the magazine’s website. We are very pleased with this award and would like to thank all our supporters.

The people have spoken

Readers and users of the online portal had until June 11 to choose their favourites. "We first learned last night that we were in the final selection of the category 'Smart Home Security,' " said Gerhard Haas, head of phg's Data Technology division. “The fact that we won was a real surprise for us," added phg Managing Director Joachim Hengstler.

The conclusive overall concept for the administration of battery-powered, self-sufficient RFID systems for access control from the PERMETIO series was apparently convincing. The system consists of the stand-alone PERMETIO components, the mobile data transport tool NMT, and the PC software Access Manager.

The components in detail

PERMETIO is a battery-powered stand-alone multi-ISO RFID furniture lock and supports transponder technologies such as LEGIC prime/advant and Mifare classic/DESFire.

The NFC Mobile Tool is a battery-powered mobile device for data exchange with RFID readers (such as PERMETIO), which communicates bidirectionally via the Reader HF interface. In this way, the locks are administered (password, time, authorizations) and the lock states (battery status, logbook) are collected.

With the PC software "Access Manager," the system configuration can be both created and managed. These configuration data are loaded into the NMT via the USB interface and then distributed to the locks. The mobile-collected lock data are loaded onto the PC and can be exchanged with other systems using a CSV file.
