Environmentally conscious action - we know why

We have committed ourselves to a special responsibility for the securing of the natural resources - and hold the evidence in writing: Since 24.03.2006 the environmental management at phg has been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001.

We have committed ourselves to precise targets to meet these demands:

• We have assigned environmental protection to the foremost corporate objectives. The environmental compatibility of processes and products is secured by the integration of consistent endeavours for improvement.
• Environmentally conscious behaviour is one of the tasks of every single employee. We actively integrate each employee in the environmental protection action in order to heighten the awareness for a friendly treatment of resources.
• We will reduce environmental impacts to a minimum, as may be achieved by the economically justifiable application of the best available technology.
  
• We are committed to the adherence to all relevant environmental laws and directives as well as to the observance of internal rules of conduct.
• At regular intervals we evaluate the statues of the environmental protection and technical and organisational procedures in our company that are necessary to achieve this purpose, in order to detect weak points, to implement the required measures and to document the progress we have achieved.
• We increase occupational safety by the detection and elimination of potential hazards for people and the environment. Occupational safety and environmental protection are closely connected and the person and work related designing of processes leads to an increased environmental compatibility as a rule.
• Every year we set ourselves tangible, measurable targets and work intensively to reach these targets.
